Bentall's of Kingston-on-Thames, G-Plan advertisement in Surrey Comet, September/October 1954. A news item in 'The Cabinet Maker' describes the E.Gomme Ltd and Bentalls promotion as 'A comprehensive exhibition of G-Plan furniture in no less than ten different room settings, three full window displays, special display advertising and 50,000 leaflets distributed by hand throughout Surrey and Middlesex to reach new housing estates. The exhibition was opened on September 30 by TV star Bernard Braden who was introduced as 'a customer' to a crowd of something like 700 people by Mr. Rowan Bentall...who also took the opportunity to stress the fairness of Bentall's hire purchase terms.'
