Text Transcript: This Indenture made the eleventh day of August in the year our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nine. Witnesseth that Timothy Honnor John Hoare Thomas Ives James Ives James Oliffe Trustees of a certain charity called Lady Jane Boys belonging to the Parish of Great Missenden in the county of Bucks have put and placed and by these present do put and place John Biggs a poor boy of the Parish of Great Missenden afores aided apprentice to Thomas Widgington of the borough of Chepping Wycombe in the County of Bucks Chairmaker with him to dwell and serve from the day of the date of these present for the term of six years during all which term the said apprentice his said master faithfully shall serve in all lawful business according to his power wit and ability and honesty orderly and obediently in all things demean and behave himself towards his said master and all his during the said term and said Thomas Widgington for aid in consideration of the sum of eight pounds of lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland to him in hand well and truly paid by the said Timothy Honnor John Hoare Thomas Ives James Ives and James Oliffe at or before the sealing and delivery of these present the receipt where is hereby acknowledged and the said Thomas Widgington for himself his executors and administrators doth covenant and grant to and with the said Timothy Honnor John Hoare Thomas Ives James Ives and James Oliffe and every of them their and every of their successors and assigns by these present that he the said Thomas Widgington his said apprentice in the art of turning and -
