This was the image used in adverts to launch the Chinese white range in September 1956. Advert in the 'Daily Express' 29 Sept 1956 notes 'No dark forbidding furniture in this lovely G-Plan room arrangement. New G-Plan pieces bring elegance, glamour and sweet sophistication with their exciting harmonies of Chinese white, natural oak and gleaming brass.'

Advert in the 'Daily Express' 29 Sept 1956 describes the models shown: 'Classic triple-mirrored dressing-table standing on sleek black lacquered legs with brass levellers costs £37.12.6. Superbly elegant double chest with a long low line costs £38.0.6. Upholstered bedhead from £11.8.0 and bedside table £9.2.6 repeat the white oak and gold motif. Dressing-stool from £5.10.0, armless easy chair from £9.9.0 and long occasional table £11.3.6 complete the group.'
