This photograph was used in an advertisement for IDEAL HOME magazine in October 1955. Curtain fabric is identified as 'Temple and Centaur' designed by Marian Mahler for David Whitehead circa 1953, in 'Austerity to affluence: British art and design 1945-1962' by A. Stapleton, publ. Merrell, 1997, p. 41. The bookcases, cocktail table and bed units appear in the G-Plan New Models folder for 1954-1955 and are noted as being designed by 'VBW'.
