This thirty page catalogue of chairs illustrates the wide variety of dining chairs available at the time, mostly in oak, mostly with drop-in seats in leather cloth, mostly with H stretchers between the legs. Variations were introduced in the turning of the front legs and the detailing of the back slats and cresting rails. 29 different designs were available as 'small' and 'arm' chairs varying in price from £1 4s 0d to £1 13s 0d depending on the amount of applied decoration. In addition there were 4 designs covered in 'cowhide' as well as 4 'Chippendale' chairs in mahogany, 1 Jacobean style in oak and 2 designs in walnut 'a decoration in itself'. The catalogue also contains illustrations of 18 occasional or 'fireside' chairs and 4 adjustable chairs with sprung seats.
