'The ERCOL Patent No. 800828 shock resisting method of suspension. The Pirelli webbing was invented to create a platform of greatest comfort and lasting wear; for use with deep floating rubber cushions. This webbing is built as the wall of a motor car tyre with rubber reinforced with the best type of cotton, used diagonally. The webbing floats in a fixed desired position held only by winding the webbing round a dowl, allowing for stress and strain.' |
