In the Autumn of 1953 the advertising campaign was extended to include Birmingham as well as the London area. Interesting copy includes a variety of headings to catch the readers eye such as: "WARNING The furniture you buy will probably have to last you a lifetime. That's why it is so important to get G-Plan - even if you have to wait a while". Quality is stressed as usual: "No shoddy workmanship, no bad joints or poor quality wood in places that don't show...chairs and settees constructed on scientific principles". |
