Description:

G-Plan living room set with model no 502 Easy Chair (B502C) and Settee (B502S) in upholstery K 224. Also shown are the B839 triangular table, two B846 bookcase corner units, a B858 corner fitment, the B844 and B845 bookcases, and a standard lamp by C.H. Hiscock (No.452). On the wall is Sanderson wallpaper (no. 54105) and Colour Council paint (no. 22 Crimson). The upholstered furniture is described in the 'More New G-Plan Pieces' brochure as 'fully upholstered for cosy comfort. Seat-cushions and arms are of foam rubber, and backs are softly sprung.'

Model numbers are typed on the reverse of the print. Hess of Fox Photos Ltd. photographer's stamp can be seen on the reverse of th the print. This image appears in the 1954-1955 G-Plan New Models folder and lists 'VBW' as the designer. The upholstered models are first shown on the July 1955 price list. They are also shown in a Daily Express advert from November 1955 (GA12_095)
