Ercol Cromwellian chair (model no. 244). An advert in 'The Cabinet Maker 28 Nov 1953 describes it as 'An uncommon wealth of comfort. Its extra long seat of foam rubber, cushioned on cable springs, those cunningly shaped arms, the draught excluding wings, conspire together in the cause of deep old fashioned comfort.? It is described as having a 'dark antique waxed oak finish' and is upholstered in 'Sanderson period linens'.
