Page 6 of G-Plan 1956 furniture catalogue. Top photo illustrates club-type chair and settee 112CX + 112SX, cocktail and lamp tables with malachite-green finish tops 890X + 888X, free-standing 'Librenza' roomdivider units T880Q + T881Q, drop-leaf dining table T836Q and dining chair T634Q.
The lower picture shows armless television chairs 403 in different fabrics with a 2 seater version 410S. The 'Librenza' unit is shown against the wall and there are instructions on how to convert these units from 'wall-fitment' to 'room-divider position'.
|Notes:||The caption for the top picture reads: This lovely room-arrangement was specially designed for the G-Plan TV film 'Planning a Home'. This was the first television advertisement by a British furniture manufacturer and was broadcast on 8th October 1955. Date derived from the fact that catalogue includes items made in tola and black, introduced for 1956, but not 'chinese white' introduced in the latter part of that year.|
