This head board, 7ft 3in wide, was probably introduced in late 1953 to fit 4ft 6in wide beds. It was available both as a headboard (retail price Dec 1955 £9 11s 0d) or as a bedstead (£11 11s 0d). It can be seen in an advertisement in Evening Standard dated 18.11.1953. but does not appear on the April 1953 pricelist. A similar photograph appears in the G-Plan New Models folder for 1954-1955 - although it describes the bedside tables as being model B841 (designer is noted as 'VBW'.
