In the ca. 1956 G-Plan catalogue (GM10) notes that the 'cocktail table with glass top and two-way drawer is just the thing for the customer who wants an occasional table that is decorative and different.'

This image also appears in the G-Plan New Models folder for 1954-1955 where designer is noted as 'VBW'. According to Leslie Dandy, the drawer on this table slide out from either side. There is a photo in LD's scrapbook showing Donald Gomme demonstrating the drawer action.
