The G-Plan range appears to have got off to a good start. Already in 1953 a new booklet was issued with additional products (upholstered chairs) and the concept of "a complete range of matching furniture for the whole house" had proved popular and "caught the imagination of the buying public and made the G-Plan such an outstanding success". In 1953 the advertising campaign was limited to media in the London and South East area but reaching a readership of over 9m. In the following years it was spread nationally. |
