A slightly modified version of this deisgn appears in 'Live all your life with G-Plan' 1964 catalogue; Two additional cross dowls fitted between each leg, visible in the above design, have been omitted, with cross dowling fitted only between the stretchers. HWFA holds approx. 396 design drawings by Ib Kofod-Larsen, produced for G-Plan between 1961 - 1974; many of which incorporate rough amendment sketches and written notes. Very few of the designs were ever put into production. According to Leslie Dandy, IKL was contracted at £2000 a year, without royalties, to produce designs exclusively for G-Plan; with the Company retaining full copyright.
